H. Pylori

Helicobacter pylori infection occurs in 20-30% of the Canadian population and may be present in more than half the people in the world.

Definition

H. pylori is a common pathogen that lives in the stomach. It is easily passed from person to person and is a common cause of stomach ulcers and certain types of stomach cancer.
